2021 Volkswagen Atlas vs. 2021 Hyundai Palisade
Volkswagen has become quite the force to be reckoned with in the three-row crossover SUV segment with the introduction of the VW Atlas in 2018. It was only a matter of time before the competition responded. A comparison between the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas vs. 2021 Hyundai Palisade shows just how long the legs are on this rivalry. Even though the Palisade hasn’t been around as long as the Atlas, the Volkswagen family-mover continues to be more than competitive in performance, while matching the Palisade’s max towing capacity and exceeding its Hyundai rival’s maximum cargo volume dimensions. Independent online experts like the spacious interior offered by the 2021 Atlas, as well as its precise handling and largely clutter-free passenger cabin. There are a lot of factors to consider when buying or leasing a new crossover SUV. For many potential buyers, connectivity with outside digital devices is going to a very important capability. Both the 2021 Atlas and 2021 Palisade will make access to both the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications standard equipment. Additionally, both automakers have introduced wireless connectivity for both mobile software platforms. Volkswagen has partnered with Verizon and T-Mobile to make an affordable Wi-Fi hotspot available on all of its 2021 Atlas trim grades. In terms of physical capability, the 2021 VW Atlas offers more interior cargo volume in any configuration than what is found with the Palisade. An Atlas with seats filled with passengers, there will still be 20.6 cubic-feet behind the third row, 55.5 behind the second row and up to 96.8 cubic-feet behind the first row. The Palisade is well short of these numbers.
