An Overview of the Lane Change System
Changing lanes, especially on the highway and traffic-ridden city roads, can be quite challenging. The Volkswagen brand has considered this. Two radar systems in the rear of your Volkswagen keep an eye on the areas behind you and the blind spots at the sides. Whether or not you wish to change the lane, the Side Assist feature warns you of potential risks if you decide to go for a lane change. This feature is active at speeds of 30 km/hr or higher.
