Alabama Volkswagen Service Departments Open During Coronavirus Lockdown

Everyone in the state of Alabama has been under a stay-at-home order for long enough now that we’re all starting to find our new (and hopefully short-lived) normal. While our lives have certainly changed and slowed down a little, certain needs haven’t gone away completely. If you’re looking for Alabama Volkswagen service departments open during coronavirus lockdown, you can begin and end with us. The Team Gunther VW leadership was very quick to implement rules and procedures to help stem the transmission of the COVID-19 pandemic while also staying open to serve our customersLet’s take a closer look at how Team Gunther VW is protecting our guests.

As of right now, the Team Gunther VW Service Department will operate as normal. If further changes are needed to help prevent spreading COVID-19, we will let you know through our blog and website as well as any other available platforms. The changes we’ve made to protect visitors start from the moment people walk in the door. Customers who have completed their purchase can have their new vehicle delivered to their home – if they live within 50 miles of the Team Gunther VW showroom.

Under normal circumstances, our representatives would begin and end almost every interaction with a proper handshake. That obviously isn’t going to be happening while we are dealing with this crisis. Additionally, every employee is tasked with wiping down and sanitizing all work areas between customer visits. Our leadership team will be monitoring our employees for signs they aren’t feeling well. Anyone who isn’t running at 100 percent will be asked to go home and recover.

What is happening in the service department?

Our service technicians will be wearing gloves while they are working on a customer’s vehicle. In order to make sure this is an effective effort; they will change gloves between appointments. Obviously, our technicians will need to get in and out of your vehicle as a part of working on it. When your service appointment is over, they will wipe down all high-touch surfaces before we give your keys back.

Please give us a call today if you have any questions about how we can help you navigate these difficult times.
